She: Hugging Northkorean women’s life
우리 곁에는 수많은 ‘그미’가 살아간다 ([그미]: ‘그녀’란 뜻의 순우리말). 가족과 연인, 친구와 동료, 혹은 우리 자신의 모습일 수도 있다. 그들의 대부분은 한 여자로서 어찌 보면 평범하게, 자신이 살아갈 삶과 이를 함께할 사람을 선택한다. 하지만 이러한 기본적인 존엄과 선택권은 모든 여성에게 허락되는 것이 아니다. 자유를 찾아 떠난 땅에서 ‘사람’이 아닌 마치 ‘상품’처럼 거래되는 탈북 여성, ‘그미’들의 이야기를 여러분과 나누고자 크라우드 펀딩 프로젝트를 진행하게 되었다.

<Geumi> is a crowdfunding project for North Korean Women. [Geumi] : A pure Korean word meaning ‘she’. Everywhere and anytime, ‘She’ is living among us.’She’ could be one of your family members, lover, friend or colleague, or even yourself. Many of these women choose their paths in life and who to share it with. However, these basic rights of dignity and choice are not allowed for all women. By sharing with you the story of the North Korean woman,“Geumi,” who are traded as “products” in a land where they arrived to find their own freedom.
